Thanks to support from The National Lottery Community Fund, Food for Life, and the University of Leeds, we are proud to announce that we have secured funding to deliver 10 more community cooking classes across Walsall and Sandwell over the next year.
This week, we supported our community to understand why fibre and protein matter, before putting that learning into practice through a Nutritionist-led creative cooking session.
These sessions are not just about recipes. They are about creating a practical, supportive space where people can build confidence with food, try new meals, ask questions, and have deeper conversations about health, routine, motivation and everyday barriers to eating well.

One participant, who told us they hadn’t eaten a “proper meal like this” in two years, tried the food and said:
“Actually, that my new favourate meal.”
A small moment, but a big first step.
Our cooking classes are designed to make nutrition feel realistic, affordable and enjoyable. They combine practical food education with community connection, helping people understand healthy eating in a way that can actually be used at home.
With 10 more sessions now secured, we are excited to continue bringing Nutritionist-led cooking classes to local communities across Walsall and Sandwell.
